Phil Da Phuture (PDP) – Peso Freestyle [Video] @PhilDaPhuture

Phil Da Phuture (PDP) released his new freestyle video today via twitter. The D.C. native spit over A$AP Rocky’s hit song “Peso”. The track is definitely a Loud one as PDP offers up a hazy treat. You mind as well roll up and lay back, this is too smooth of a track for you not o give it all of your attention. Listen Up and tell us what you think.

Jay-Z To Not Use The Word “B****”, Gift To Blue Ivy Carter

Jay-Z released a statement that ensures his fans he will stop using the word, B***. As the phenomenal Hip-Hop icon he is, Jay-Z realizes the influence his music has on the public and decided to put that influence to some good. Jay-Z refuses to use the degrading term in honor of his newborn daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, with wife Beyonce. Jay-Z decided to also curse artist who continue to use the term.

Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich,
I didn’t think hard about using the word B—-.
I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it
now with my daughter in this world
I curse those that give it.
I never realized while on the fast track
that I’d give riddance to the word bitch, to leave her innocence in tact.
No man will degrade her, or call her out her name
the women won’t despise her and call her the same.
I know it’s gonna miss me
cuz we been together like Nike Airs and crisp tees
when we all used to hang out front
singing 99 problems but a lady ain’t one.
Excuse me miss, can I be your mister
cuz I can tell the difference from a little girl and a sister,
She never grew up, her father left her alone
I promise not to talk like we used to
until Kingdom Come.
I’m so focused on your future,
The degradation has passed
I wish you wealth, health, and insight
forever young you may pass.
Blue Ivy Carter, my angel.

While the hip-hop legend is enjoying his new baby girl he seems to be overwhelmed with emotions lately. What are your thoughts on his decision to not use the B-word in his music anymore? Or his lack of respect for artist who use it after this statement?

Mac Miller Drops “Of the Soul” [Official Music Video]

Mac Miller drop the official music video to his “Of The Soul” single. Mac Miller offers a simple visual to his smooth but complex flow. Im thinking the director Ian Wolfson, didn’t want to distract listeners from the lyrics Mac Miller spit in this ID Labs produced track. The single is off of Mac’s debut album, Blue Slide Park. Video provided by Rex Arrow Films, Rostrum Records & TreeJTV.

Lil Wayne Brings Out DMX During Show [Videos]

Lil Wayne brings out DMX during a recent show and shows just much of a Ruff Ryders fan he is.

” I remember when I was 17 years old I was on the biggest Hip-Hop tour…it was called the Ruff Ryders tour”. – Wayne

While the Ruff Ryders may seem dormant, they are still very much alive and doing well. The team has released an album, “Past Present Future” and DMX released his latest album, “Undisputed” in march of 2011. DMX also made an epic return to the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards (peep video bellow).
