[Artist Spotlight] Cocoa Sarai….Be Ready To Experience: The BLACK AND WHITE

A long intermission is always a mood killer no matter how great the show. Two weeks ago, a break in between sets at The Intern Showcase in Philadelphia seemed like an eternity. Headliner, Cocoa Sarai quickly crushed any early exit thoughts an antsy audience member might have with her electric entrance. With colossal vocals for such a petite frame, Cocoa belted out pop-soul track, “Raining In My Room” from her anticipated project, The BLACK AND WHITE. The NY songstress has already been deemed the “It Girl” for features and hooks by other popular newcomers such as, Mickey Factz and Theophilus London. Having already won 2007′s The Underground Music AwardsBest Female R&B Artist“, and an equally impressive Grammy nomination for her appearance on hip-hop artist Etcetera’sTreat You Better,” fans are anxious for the release of her second full length project. The Cocoa Sarai Experience”: The BLACK AND WHITE Album Release Party will be presented by the LegendFactory this Thursday, January 26th. 428 Lafayette Street, Dominion, NY. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Amber Rose Breaks Down In Tears On Rap Fix Live: “I Don’t Deserve To Be Bullied Like That”

Amber Rose chopped it up with Sway in MTV’s Rap Fix Live to discuss her new single, “Fame”. When the infamous question popped up about her transition from Kanye to Wiz Khalifa, Amber Rose broke down in tears. She revealed just how hard it has been to hold in the frustrations of the ridicule and how it hurts her that to be bullied Kanye fans in public:

“I have people throwing things at me in the street because they’re fans of Kanye,” Amber said before she started to cry on set. “I’m just crying because I don’t deserve to be bullied like that. I’m a nice girl, I don’t bother anybody. I keep my mouth shut because I don’t want any trouble.”

In a recent interview with Necole Bitchie, Amber Rose also mentions that “[Kanye] was a dick.” In the intimate interview, Amber dishes about Kanye’s character and preparing herself for scrutiny on the new song, “Fame”.

One Kanye’s Comments in Philly: I guess I could speak for all women … When you’re with a man who says those things to you or talks down to you like that, it does affect your confidence. He was a total d*ck–a total, total d*ck. But, for me, it was very real. The relationship was very real. It wasn’t no publicity. He’s not gay like people say he is. He’s not gay at all. He loves women more than I would have liked at that time, but he was an asshole. But, like I said, I forgive him. I moved on, and I’m past all that. The problem that I have with the scenario is that he’ll say all those things. Then, he’ll say, “Thank you Philly for making the incredible person that this song was made for.”… On Calling Kim Kardashian A Homewrecker: I’m not sorry about saying it because it was the truth. I was sorry that I called her a “home wrecker” because I just feel like … It’s hard for me to explain because, as a woman, I need to especially let my Rosebuds out there know that you don’t blame the woman when your man does you wrong! [You don’t do that]. I think, with Star Magazine, it came across as though I was doing that, but I was asked in that interview, “How do I feel about Kim and Kanye dating now?” stated as though I was the reason why Kim and Reggie broke up. This is a question that I get asked constantly, and I’m always quiet, Necole! I’m like, “If they’re happy, I’m happy for them.” And, just as a human being, I got to my boiling point and said, “That’s not the case. She’s the home wrecker! She did all of that. I did none of that! I don’t mess with men who are in relationships.” …

Read The full interview with Necole Bitchie and Amber Rose here. I kind of feel sorry for her now. What do you think? Are Kanye’s Fans doing way too mush? Should people have pity on her for her past mistakes? Let us know! Related Post: Amber Rose Drops “Fame” Featuring Wiz Khalifa [New Music

[Video] LAZERBITCH: “Coquette” [Directed by Brian Morrison]

Such a good portrayal of what occurs in Baltimore on a daily basis. Running around Mt. Vernon by day and somehow ending up in underground hot spot, The Windup Space. Sounds like me. Good stuff. Shoutout to Lazer Libby for the video.
